Which type of air ambulance do I need ?
This will depend on factors like their current condition, where they are now, and how far you need to travel. Medium-care transports are designed for patients who need specialist support after an illness or operation – for example, people who need a concentrated oxygen supply, or who are flying to a foreign hospital for cancer or stroke treatment, or for medical tourism. An intensive-care transport is a mobile ICU with minute-by-minute monitoring of a patient’s vitals and emergency treatment if it’s needed – for example, patients who are unconscious, or who have suffered a serious accident or life-threatening illness.
